A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be stunningly easy in case you’ve got a shared hosting service with our company. You can activate the feature through our advanced, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created listed alphabetically and to the right of each one there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you whether a certain mailbox receives all the emails for a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you like. In case there is enabled email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a tiny sign conveniently situated directly next to each one. With just one single click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature using the menu that will surface. If any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
